Catnip Tuna Kitty Treats

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 1/2 can tuna, in oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or 1 tablespoon cod liver oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup finely crushed dry catnip, for rolling the balls in,approx
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350f and spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray.
- 2 in large bowl, mash the tuna so that there are no large lumps.
- 3 mix flour and milk in the tuna until throughly combined.
- 4 add water and oil, mix well.
- 5 beat an egg until foamy, add and combine throughly.
- 6 expect the dough mix to be sticky.
- 7 shape dough into tiny balls- about the size of a small marble.
- 8 roll the balls in finely crushed dry catnip (i usually rub the catnip between my hands to crush it).
- 9 place the balls on the cookie sheet and flatten slightly.
- 10 bake for 10 minutes then remove them from oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- 11 turn treats over and bake 10 more minutes or until browned.
- 12 cool treats completely before giving any to your pet.
- 13 store in air tight container in the refrigerator or a cool dry place.
