Almost Fat Free "tuna Helper"...healthy

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 (8 ounce) box whole wheat pasta
  • 3 cups garbanzo beans
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 (4 ounce) cans tuna
  • 2 teaspoons crushed pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 puree cooked garbanzo beans (the three cups indicated should be already cooked/canned) in a blender -- add water if necessary to get the blender to work.
  • 2 chop onions and fry in olive oil.
  • 3 add pureed beans, salt, crushed pepper, and tuna to fried onions. add water until the mixture is of sauce consistency and simmer 10 minutes.
  • 4 boil pasta as directed on package and drain -- add to sauce mixture.
