Canned Fish Loaf

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 3/4 ounce) can salmon or 1 (14 3/4 ounce) can mackerel, undrained
  • 1 cup crushed soda cracker crumbs (about 24)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup onion, chopped or diced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon crushed basil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 deg f.
  • 2 in a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, and mix thoroughly.
  • 3 press mixture into a lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan.
  • 4 bake for 45 minutes or until done.
  • 5 let stand 10 minutes before attempting to slice.
