Canadian Indian Guide's Chowder

Total Time: 47 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 37 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 3 cups diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 5 cups diced raw fish
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups half-and-half or 2 cups cream
  • chopped parsley

Recipe

  • 1 add potatoes, onions, salt and pepper to one quart boiling water.
  • 2 cook 12 mins or til vegetables are almost tender.
  • 3 add fish.
  • 4 cook 10 mins more.
  • 5 add milk and cream.
  • 6 heat 15 mins more without allowing chowder to boil.
  • 7 serve garnished with parsley.
