Ingredients

- 2 dozen littleneck clams
- 1 cup butter
- 1 lb bacon
- 1 onion
- 1 1/2 green bell peppers
- 1 red bell pepper
- tabasco sauce
- plain breadcrumbs
Recipe
- 1 steam clams, remove and chop. wash the shells and let them dry.
- 2 slice bacon into small pieces and brown. drain and set aside. remove bacon fat and melt butter. add onions (until translucent) and peppers. add seasoned salt and tabasco to taste.
- 3 remove from heat add bacon and clams. slowly add bread crumbs until the butter is incorporated. try not to use a lot of bread crumb.
- 4 stuff the clam shells. add some lemon juice on each and broil 15 minutes (top will brown).
