Beer Broiled Shrimp

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs large raw shrimp, unpeeled
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot sauce

Recipe

  • 1 peel and devein shrimp, leaving tails intact.
  • 2 combine beer and remaining ingredients in a large shallow dish.
  • 3 add shrimp, stirring gently to coat.
  • 4 cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • 5 drain shrimp, discarding marinade.
  • 6 thread neck and tail of each shrimp onto six 14 inch skewers so shrimp will lie flat.
  • 7 place skewers on a lightly greased rack of a broiler pan.
  • 8 broil 5 1/2 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially opened) 3 minutes.
  • 9 turn over and broil and additional 1 to 2 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
