Beer Battered Shrimp

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 2 lbs shrimp
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 cup flour (for dredging)

Recipe

  • 1 combine 1 cup flour, paprika and salt. whisk in beer, worcestershire sauce and tabasco.
  • 2 cover; let stand at room temperature at least 1 hour.
  • 3 heat oil to 375 degrees.
  • 4 dredge shrimp in flour, then dip in batter.
  • 5 fry shrimp, a few at a time until golden.
  • 6 drain on papertowels.
  • 7 serve with creole tarter sauce.
