Barbecue Ginger Prawns (shrimp)

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 1/2 kg raw prawns
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled
- 5 cm ginger, peeled
- 1 teaspoon chili powder, to taste
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 shell and wash the prawns leaving the tails intact.
- 2 blend all the marinade ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
- 3 place prawns and marinade in bowl, cover and marinate for 1-2 hours.
- 4 remove from marinade.
- 5 cook in the bbq with lid on for 8-15 minutes, or until cooked through (do not overcook), depending on size.
