Clam Fritters

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup clam juice
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup minced clams

Recipe

  • 1 beat together egg, milk and clam juice.
  • 2 sift together flour, baking soad, cream of tartar, slat and baking powder.
  • 3 add dry ingredients to wet and mix well.
  • 4 fold in clams.
  • 5 drop by spoonfuls into 400 degree oil and fry until golden brown.
  • 6 drain on paper towels and serve hot.
