Clam Chowder

Ingredients

- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of potato soup, undiluted
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3 (6 1/2 ounce) cans minced clams, undrained
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- minced fresh parsley
Recipe
- 1 in a large saucepan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp; remove to paper towels.
- 2 drain drippings, reserving 1 tablespoon.
- 3 in the drippings, saute onion until tender.
- 4 stir in soup and milk.
- 5 add the clams, lemon juice, thyme, pepper and bacon; heat through.
- 6 garnish with parsley.
