Charlie's Halibut Olympia

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 lbs halibut fillets
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 -8 ounce sour cream (1 c.)
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt (johnnys)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
- 2 cut halibut into entree size portions - approximately 3x4 inches.
- 3 chop onions finely and sprinkle in 13x9x2 baking pan and pour melted butter over top.
- 4 place halibut filets in single layer over top of onions.
- 5 combine sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, salt, pepper, basil and thyme.
- 6 cover halibut with sauce and top with bread crumbs.
- 7 bake at 400°f for 20 minutes.
- 8 remove from oven and top with parmesan and return to oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9 fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork. it should be and moist.
- 10 serve hot with rice pilaf and a green vegetable.
- 11 to half recipe - half all ingredients except butter and onion.
