Chili Scallop And Shrimp Kebabs

Total Time: 38 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili bean sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 lbs large raw shrimp
  • 8 ounces scallops

Recipe

  • 1 combine the crushed garlic, ginger, sesame oil, chili bean sauce, soy sauce, tomato paste, sugar and lemon juice.
  • 2 shell shrimp and devein, leaving tail shells on.
  • 3 clean the scallops.
  • 4 add the shrimp and scallops to the marinade.
  • 5 cover and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  • 6 skewer shrimp and scallops on skewers. (if using wooden skewers make sure to soak in water for about 30 minutes).
  • 7 cook on a preheated lightly oiled barbecue grill for 4 minutes each side. baste with the remaining marinade during cooking.
