Codfish Cakes With Green Onions & Dill

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh cod fish fillets or 1 lb frozen cod fish fillet, thawed and drained
- 2 cups fresh breadcrumbs, course
- 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
Recipe
- 1 flake cod fillets apart with fork or mallet.
- 2 in medium bowl stir together flaked cod and remaining ingredients "except" butter. form into 6 patties.
- 3 melt butter in skillet until sizzling, place 3 patties in skillet, cook over med-high heat until golden brown, turn and continue cooking until browned and fish flakes with fork.
- 4 repeat with remaining patties.
