Cedar Planked Salmon With Citrus Bbq Sauce

- 1 small red onion, diced
- 2 garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce, preferably homemade
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup dill, chopped
- 2 tablespoons orange juice, prefereably fresh
- 1 tablespoon black pepper, coarsely ground

Recipe
- 1 combine the red onion, garlic, green onion, bbq sauce, marmalade, dill, orange juice and black pepper. this can be prepared ahead of time and set aside.
- 2 presoak a cedar plank by putting it in the sink with a heavy object sitting on top of it for 1/2 a day.
- 3 preheat the grill. remove the plank from the water.
- 4 sit the plank on the grill until it smokes a bit, then carefully place the salmon on the plank. cook the salmon until done -- usually until when the milky juices release, about 20 - 30minutes.
- 5 discard the plank after using.
