Catfish Baked With Cheese

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 catfish fillets
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, preferably freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 wipe fish dry.
  • 3 combine cheese, flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a shallow dish.
  • 4 combine egg and milk in a shallow dish.
  • 5 dip fish in egg mixture, then in flour mixture, turning to coat.
  • 6 arrange in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • 7 pour the butter over the fish.
  • 8 top with the almonds, if using.
  • 9 bake for about 20 minutes, until fish is cooked through.
