Bonito With Onion

Ingredients

- 2 1/4 lbs bonito tuna, a single slice or 2 1/4 lbs tuna
- 4 onions
- 4 thin green peppers (the sweet ones) or 2 medium green bell peppers
- salt
- 6 fluid ounces oil
Recipe
- 1 peel the onion and slice into fine rings.
- 2 wash the peppers, remove the stalk and seeds, and cut into thin strips.
- 3 heat the oil gently in an oven-safe pan and fry the onion and pepper, until tender and almost caramelized.
- 4 add salt to taste.
- 5 remove the skin and the bone from the center from the fish.
- 6 divide into two thick fillets, season and add to the onion and pepper mixture. broil for one minute and serve.
- 7 the bonito must be only just cooked to keep it moist.
