Bonito With Onion

Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 1/4 lbs bonito tuna, a single slice or 2 1/4 lbs tuna
  • 4 onions
  • 4 thin green peppers (the sweet ones) or 2 medium green bell peppers
  • salt
  • 6 fluid ounces oil

Recipe

  • 1 peel the onion and slice into fine rings.
  • 2 wash the peppers, remove the stalk and seeds, and cut into thin strips.
  • 3 heat the oil gently in an oven-safe pan and fry the onion and pepper, until tender and almost caramelized.
  • 4 add salt to taste.
  • 5 remove the skin and the bone from the center from the fish.
