Cilantro-miso Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaf
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • 3 tablespoons miso, light colored
  • 1 tablespoon oil, olive
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mirin

Recipe

  • 1 chop cilantro in a processor until well chopped.
  • 2 add the lime juice, miso, olive oil, pepper and mirin.
  • 3 process until smooth.
  • 4 scrape down the sides as required.
  • 5 will keep a short period if refrigerated.
  • 6 serve with grilled beef, lamb or fish; also over hearty salads.
  • 7 substitute:fresh coriander leaves for cilantro.
  • 8 japanese soybean paste for miso.
  • 9 sweet rice wine for mirin.
