Cilantro-miso Sauce
Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaf
- 1 lime, juice of
- 3 tablespoons miso, light colored
- 1 tablespoon oil, olive
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon mirin
Recipe
- 1 chop cilantro in a processor until well chopped.
- 2 add the lime juice, miso, olive oil, pepper and mirin.
- 3 process until smooth.
- 4 scrape down the sides as required.
- 5 will keep a short period if refrigerated.
- 6 serve with grilled beef, lamb or fish; also over hearty salads.
- 7 substitute:fresh coriander leaves for cilantro.
- 8 japanese soybean paste for miso.
- 9 sweet rice wine for mirin.
