Baked Flounder With Low-fat Cream Sauce

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb flounder fillets, skinned
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1 cup dry wine
  • 1 teaspoon basil, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle both sides of flounder fillets garlic salt and pepper.
  • 2 place fillets in a single layer in a greased baking dish 12x8 inches.
  • 3 arrange sliced tomatoes over top of fillets.
  • 4 sprinkle tomatoes with garlic salt and pepper.
  • 5 blend flour into margarine.
  • 6 add milk gradually and cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. remove from heat and stir in wine and basil.
  • 7 pour sauce over top of tomatoes.
  • 8 bake in a 350 oven for 25-30 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
