Baked Fish Sticks With Wasabi Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs tilapia fillets, cut into fish stick sized strips
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten with 1 tbs water
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon wasabi paste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place egg wash in a shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  • 2 place panko crumbs in a second small bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  • 3 dip each fish stick into the egg and then the panko crumb mixture. gently shake off excess. i like to use one hand for wet and another hand for dry.
  • 4 bake in a 475 degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until brown and crispy.
  • 5 mix together mayonnaise, parsley, lemon juice, wasabi, olive oil, mustard, lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper.
  • 6 serve fish sticks with the dipping sauce.
