Cod Stew With Tomatoes

Ingredients

- 2 lbs cod fish fillets
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes, cut up
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 celery ribs, chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 4 slices toast
Recipe
- 1 pour olive oil into deep pan on medium heat. add garlic & celery. saute briefly. add spices,tomatoes, and parsley. cover and simmer 30 minutes.
- 2 meanwhile, salt fillets lightly and place in well greased steamer.
- 3 steam over boiling water 10 minutes.
- 4 pour sauce over fish.
- 5 serve over toast points.
