Baked Shrimp

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 16 large shrimp, peeled and deveined leaving tails on, if desired
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/3 cup dry sherry
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 melt the butter on low.
  • 2 when butter is melted, squeeze in all 3 cloves of garlic.
  • 3 saute gently, add chopped shallot.
  • 4 saute until shallot is transparent, season with salt and pepper.
  • 5 add sherry and continue to cook about 3 minutes more.
  • 6 arrange shrimp in an oven proof dish.
  • 7 pour mixture over shrimp.
  • 8 melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • 9 when melted, stir in the panko breadcrumbs.
  • 10 stir until all crumbs are coated with butter.
  • 11 sprinkle evenly over shrimp.
  • 12 bake in a 425 degree oven 10 minutes.
  • 13 serve immediately.
  • 14 goes well with rice.
