Boiled Cod

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 -4 cups water
- 1 -2 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 3 lbs cod
Recipe
- 1 combine water, salt, vinegar and basil in a large kettle and bring to a boil.
- 2 add the cod.
- 3 reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes.
- 4 make sure to keep the water just below the boiling point to prevent the fish from falling apart.
- 5 remove fish from water and place on serving platter.
- 6 top with chopped parsley in melted margarine, or a hollandaise sauce.
- 7 serve with boiled potatoes and carrots.
